Meet The Artist

Hi, I’m Jem, an artist based in the UK. I have been drawing ever since I can remember, designing characters is my favourite thing to pass time. As indicated by my artist name, my primary subject matter is wolves, I’ve always felt drawn to them from a young age and they are my favourite thing to draw/make. A lot of the characters I design have a gothic theme to them as I find the gothic style very appealing. Vampires, werewolves everything fantasy, I love it.

I studied illustration and animation at university for 3 years and discovered that illustration should be my main focus. Over years I developed my own personal style and feel I have found my forever style.

I recently discovered needle felting, at first glance I thought I wouldn’t be able to do it although I tried it and fell in love with it. I love spending hours making my characters come to life. It can be frustrating at times although every project is a learning curve to improve on the next one.

Since the age of 13 I have been writing a story based on wolves called Till Death Do We Part. My aim is to make it into a fully self illustrated graphic novel and publish it. I have had many years of re-designing characters and tweaking my story to be how I always imagined it. I have recently made art dolls of my main characters and plan on making more of them.

I will be making more art dolls to sell and would love to make custom characters for people. I plan to expand my skills to make humanoid characters as well as more fantasy style characters.
