Art dolls completely hand made by me. My dolls are mainly made from wool which I have needle felted onto a wire base ( the skeleton of the animal). Paw pads are made using hot glue and claws are made using polymer clay which is sturdy and none fragile unlike standard clay..
My art dolls take a lot longer to make than my illustrations but I love making them, seeing my characters come to life makes the hard work worthwhile. I love making fantasy characters although I also enjoy making realistic animals. My first needle felted animal was of my dog Brackon who sadly passed away in 2023. I made him for my Mum who has him sat on a shelf as though he’s still there with her.
